The UK’s Leading Hydroblasting Contractors

What Is Hydroblasting?

Speak to the UK’s leading hydroblasting contractors about the most effective and accurate way to prepare surfaces.

Hydroblasting is the process of using high pressure water-jets for the preparation of surfaces, typically in the case of removing coatings or markings. It is regarded as one of the most efficient methods of surface preparation, using a chemical-free process which is able to protect surrounding areas and structures; preparing only the area required.

Also referred to as ‘water blasting,’ hydroblasting is an attractive alternative to methods which would traditionally either involve abrasives or chemicals, as such, offering both environmental benefits and cost-savings due to surrounding surfaces remaining intact.

Hydroblasting is suitable for the removal of a wide range of coatings as well as a viable solution for cleaning and the removal of dirt in hard-to-reach locations, offering results which can be directly compared with abrasives or chemicals.

Why Use Hydroblasting?

Hydroblasting offers a number of key benefits over traditional surface preparation techniques, both in terms of efficiency, safety and environmental friendliness.

  • A Chemical & Abrasive Free Technique
As both a chemical and vibration-free technique, hydro blasting offers an environmentally friendly solution, as well as one which allows for the preparation of a specific area, without causing damage to surrounding surfaces. The technique offers increased accuracy compared with traditional methods.
  • Less Clean-Up Work Afterwards
After hydroblasting, there is less clean-up work required than many alternative techniques, due to the fact that water simply flows or dries up. This can bring further time and cost savings to a project.
  • Leaves An Excellent Bonding Surface
Hydroblasting leaves an excellent bonding surface for new applications behind, ready for use.
  • It’s Cost Effective
When compared with other techniques, hydroblasting is able to offer a cost-effective solution for surface preparation. The process typically results in less operational downtime when compared with other solutions, bringing further cost savings to a project.
  • It’s Quicker Than The Alternatives
Hydroblasting typically offers faster surface preparation than alternative methods, bringing with it the above outlined economical benefits.
  • It’s Accurate
One of the main benefits of hydro blasting is the accuracy which the method offers when compared with alternatives. With no damage to adjacent surfaces, the method is perfect in instances when certain surfaces need to be prepared whilst others are left in tact.
  • An Incredibly Safe Solution
Hydroblasting is typically regarded by engineers as one of the safest and most efficient surface preparation solutions.
